The skeet is seldom played when Tigers and Dogs are also played. When all five cards of a skeet are of the same suit, the hand is a Skeet Flush and ranks above a straight flush. As between Tigers (Cats), Dogs and Skeets, ties are broken as in the case of any other poker hand containing no pairby the highest card, then the next highest, and so on.

The joker may be added, if desired; it ranks as the highest trump, over the right bower. PRELIMINARIES. All participants draw cards from a spread pack. Lowest card has first deal and choice of seats. Next· lowest sits at his left, and so on around the table. DEALING. Cards are dealt in packets to the left, beginning with eldest hand. A widow is dealt after the first round of the deal. Five-hand and six-hand' Each player receives five cards, in rounds of 3·2 or 2·3, and the widow is two cards. Seven-hand' Each player receives seven cards, in rounds of 34 or 4-3, and the rest of the pack goes to the widow.
